Jared Lantzy
Bass Trombone
Jared Lantzy is a native of Abilene, Texas and is currently pursuing a Performance Certificate from DePaul University where he also received his Master’s degree. He did his undergraduate work at Texas Tech University. Mr. Lantzy has been honored with winning the National Trombone Competition at the Eastern Trombone Workshop and has been in the finals for the Donald Yaxley Bass Trombone Competition and twice a finalist in the ITA’s Trombone Quartet Competition. Jared is active in the Chicagoland area having played with such groups as the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Elgin Symphony, Northwest Indiana Symphony, South Bend Symphony, International Chamber Artists and is currently a member of the Belden Brass Quintet. Mr. Lantzy has also performed with the New Mexico Symphony, Roswell Symphony and Lubbock Symphony. Jared’s primary teachers include Charlie Vernon, Mark Fisher, Don Lucas, and Floyd Cooley.
