"I don?t believe an orchestra should exist in an ivory tower, but should find its relevance
in the life of its community. Please remember, this orchestra belongs to the community.?

Teacher Resource Program

A "teacher resource" is a symphony musician who provides professional expertise for public or private school music educators. Likewise, several musicians may form a "teacher resource group." The resource musician or group can help the school music educator in a number of ways, including giving a clinic to demonstrate techniques of playing our instruments, individually or as a part of an ensemble. It also may entail working with individual players or sections of a band or orchestra to coach them on specific music. The programs are tailored to the needs expressed by each school's music educators.
